With your class in your blogs discuss the following questions:
1. What was Miller's point in writing The Crucible?
2. How are McCarthyism, the Red Scare, Arthur Miller and The Crucible interrelated?
3. Document other times in American history when 'witch hunts' were conducted and discuss the outcomes of the Salem witch hunt and the other witch hunts you find. What do they all have in common?
Find documents, web sites, blogs, etc. that provide information on this topic and blog about what those artifacts contain. Provide links in your blog space so that the other members of the class can read and learn from them.
After all research, processing and discussion have been completed, please write an essay (in your blog) that presents what you have learned in relation to the questions/problems stated at the beginning of this blog.
To get you started, spend awhile watching this PowerPoint and reading the websites linked to it.

So the whole writing process will be published on our blog? Will each website, info., etc. be a different post or will we edit the same one several times?
P.S. Thanks for the advice on a movie choice. It sounds thrilling and suspenseful; I may just have to find it soon.
You can answer the questions and present what you find in different posts or all in one. It probably would be easier to put what you find in one post and then as poeple respond to your info. you can add additional posts with new information. It really doesn't matter. Makes sense? Everything that is done for this project will be done in the blog and on the Internet.
Hey Mrs. Hansen, you should check out this site. It's really intersting. I never knew things like this still happened today! Wow, it's really sad that people can't figure out even today that there is no such thing as witches.
