I think it is a combination of the two, but it would depend if you believe in more of nature or nurture, nature out side forced control your personality and what you do, while nature is your born with it and its yourself, but i believe that you have some sence of yourself that you incorporate into everything you do, but outside forces often help, between family and friends and other influences they all make you who you are today.
Candace, what about how your comments related to perception and sensation- what about the nature-nurture debate influences those? And are perceptions unique or do we all have the same perceptions? What about sensations? What causes the differences among people's percpetions and sensations if there are differences?
Jamie- No favoritism; it just so happened that her post fit in perfectly with what we are talking about in psychology. It was insightful and really made me think. Some day you may just end up as a link on my blog.
