The Race for the Presidency

With a few primaries down and several months of campaigning to go, the contenders running for president seem to be ready to fight the long battle of words and promises that is necessary to become the president. Yesterday in NH's primary, Hillary Clinton and John McCain took the lead with Obama and Romney right behind. That still leaves Huckabee and Edwards as contenders. So Who would you vote for? Why? Is the United States ready for a female president or an African-American president? What a change that might bring. Be polite and use netiquette while commenting to this post. Who would make the best president?

I think that the US is definitely ready for a woman president and an African American president, but I don't know enough about the goals of these candidates to know who I would vote for. I guess I better start finding out more about them.

I truly think that the US is ready for a new president. A girl president i think would change how the world thinks of women. Also i think that an african american would make a great president.

I am not 100% sure who I am going to vote for, but I know that the US is definitely ready for change and a Woman president or African-American president would be the answer. Honestly, I think that Senator Clinton would make the better president. Sure her negatives probably seem as if they outweigh the positives because of Bill, but she's been through the White House, she knows how things work and I have virtually the same opinions as she does on political issues. She speaks with confidence and can hold her own against the men - if you watched the debate the other night, the men double-teamed her and I thought she still dominated the debate. And yes, it is very difficult to be nice in this blog, Mrs. Hansen.

So, it seems that the consensus of the three comments is that the US is ready for a change in president, but what qualities would a female predident bring to the office? how about those that an African-American would bring?

Sarah, expand on your statement about how the world would view woman differently if Mrs. Clinton were to bbecome president.

what i think is that if Obama get to be president that the colored people will have more in control and will be bragging about why a colored person was able to win the presidential race.

I think that if America votes a woman into office that all heck will break loose. The only reason why Clinton won in New Hampshire is because she started crying for no reason. What would we do if she was faced with a tough decision in the office and started to cry about it. She would never get anything done. I know that i am going to be to young to vote but i really hope we don't get a woman president.

Okay, i'm really judgemental when i look at people. Like i don't think i'll vote for Romney b/c first of all (not b/c he's mormom i could care less) his hair. it looks like he cares more about his hair than anything else. he's snobby and stuck up and really i don't want a guy like that. i don't care if their black, yellow, male, female, short, tall, islamic, mormon, buddhist...it doesn't matter. Really in my opinion, i think we are ready but we have to be ready for someone who fix the wrongs that bush has done. i don't care who does it, but we need to get our country back out of the sinking pit it's in and bring us back to the top. we need someone who's willing to stand up for what they believe and do what's best for our country...not like invading countries and trying to start stupid wars. if a woman can do it...great! more power to ya! if a black guy can do...great! i mean come on this is the 21st century...if we can't accept it that woman and people of color can become presidents we need to open our eyes. Look at Germany, they have a female Prime Minister (which is kinda like a president but not really...just look it up if you don't know what it is) and their democracy thing has been around for less than 50-60 years and ours have been around for over 200. i don't care who becomes president as long as they fix everything and do a better job than bush.

I agree with Joel. Clinton is just looking for pity votes. And Obama? PUHLEEZ! Who wants an ex-Islamic as a president? But, oh well. I plan on living in the US only until after I graduate college. Then, it's bye-bye hell-hole America, hello somewhere else.

But I guess I might use just the little bit of manners I actually have and I'll answer this question politely. Who would I vote for (that is, IF I could vote)? Ron Paul more than likely. He agrees with most of the things I believe in.

And hey. A female president? I think we should wait for me to have my chance =)

And Anonymous #2 (though you aren't quite anonymous because I know who you are) I agree whole heartedly.

"but what qualities would a female predident bring to the office? how about those that an African-American would bring? "

A female? You'd see a lot of housewives and other feminists come out. An African-American...well, I don't know if that would do any damage. Unless he decides to make white people slaves....eh. But I doubt it. Obama seems like a good choice, for a Democrat. =)

man I miss speech class...NOT! Haha I'm done ranting now Mrs. H! Hope you had a blast reading it!

I do believe that the united states is ready for a change in the presidential trend. However, I'm not sure that Clinton or Obama are the right candidates to make that change. After scanning the news every now and then, they are starting to change my mind on how well prepared they are. All in all whoever gets elected president can't do too bad of a job because of all the people that have an influence on what they do. Well we will know pretty soon if the US is really ready for a change

I am reading quite a few stereotypes in these comment- women cry and can't get things done; islamic people can't be good leaders, people in control brag about being in control. So what about leadership qualities? Do any of the candidates have the qualities (regardless of race, religion or gender) to be a great leader?

Jamie said...

As I've watched more of the debates and news, I've come to the conclusion of who I'm going to vote for. But, I think that all of them have good qualities and I may be a little bias, racist, religionst (it's not a word, but you all know what I mean), but I believe Clinton has the best leader qualities. She knows herself well and knows exactly what she wants done and how she's going to do it; she's committed to her campaign and her determination to win, I believe, is stronger than anyone elses. I agree with Mrs. Hansen saying there is a lot of stereotyping going on.

Joel, not all women cry and are "unable to get things done." As I was once told, "Women cry. It's what we do." So get over it.

Anyway, onto what I was saying... Clinton is open to change and wants to do the best she can to change it. After all, anyone but Bush is certainly a better change for the US. Honestly, I think whoever gets elected will be a good change for the US, reguardless of sex or religion.

I am not against Obama, I just believe that Clinton is a better leader AND speaker on that note. Has anyone ever noticed how horrible Obama is at speaking? Between all the um's, ah's, and uh's I get distracted...

Anonymous said...

UGH! Sorry, I know I'm completely biased and a TAD bit racist, but hey, that's me. you should have seen me last semester =)

Anyhow, I was woken up on Saturday morning to Hillary Clinton on my TV saying: "There aren't any illegal women-only people."

Uh...women? Isn't that a bit sexist? And come on, no illegals? So it's okay for other people to cross our borders and then not get into any trouble about it. Don't believe me, watch this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IQAaxK636U

Uh...what? I don't want someone who says it's okay to have illegals in America as a president. She'll just go and screw everything up. =0

And after re-reading what Joel said, well Joel, you're being a bit sexist. Are you saying that women can't be a good president? Tell me: Who has had the most influence on the world today? WOMEN. Women have changed the course of history--Joan of Arc, Rosa Parks, Eve, Harriet Tubman, and hey, even Britney Spears has done her part!

So before you go and slam women, maybe you should think about how many men went and screwed up everything. Maybe then you won't think of us as just maids. You have me ranting now...congrats!

I think the US is ready for a woman president but not ready for Hillary's views. I believe Obama has a better chance at the presidency, not only because he is african american but also he is brilliant and has good views.
He isn't Muslim, his father is...but after hearing about the debates i don't believe either candidates are as prepared as they could be, also using 'dumb' speech such as 'umm' and stuttering before they speak.

Sonja said...

Personally i have no political interest at all. Mrs. Hansen is right...it is funny to read about everyone arguing about who is going to win. Even though i find politics incredibly boring i agree with ashley it is time to get a woman in charge..haha. But whoever wins i'm sure will be just fine. Question for ashley, If you're leaving America how are we suppose to wait so you can be President? Just a thought.

Anonymous said...

I definately dont think our country is ready for a woman to be president...maybe a black man but not a woman. If it does happen that is some major history being changed and made. But i dont like any of the candidates. I am old enough to vote now and i dont know how to vote????

Anonymous said...

"Question for ashley, If you're leaving America how are we suppose to wait so you can be President?"

Answer for Sonja, first off, how is it even going to be remotely possible for me to leave the country? I highly doubt I'll get a good paying job after college to go live in a European country, though I seriously want to. 2nd of all, I doubt any country will want to have anything to do with me.

I mentioned me being president because I was going to do a career speech in Lillebo's class last semester about being president...I thought better and decided to do it on a border patrol agent....what a great paper...=)

"He isn't Muslim, his father is...but after hearing about the debates i don't believe either candidates are as prepared as they could be, also using 'dumb' speech such as 'umm' and stuttering before they speak."

That's true...and I'll admit that he's a way better canidate than Hillary, but I still don't like him.

And I have a question for Jamie: are you rooting for Hillary because of her beliefs and value? Or is it because she's the 1st woman running for president?

Jamie said...

"And I have a question for Jamie: are you rooting for Hillary because of her beliefs and value? Or is it because she's the 1st woman running for president?"

I'm leaning towards voting for Senator Clinton because of her views and beliefs. I agree most so with her than any other candidate. I'm not sure if she's the best thing for the US, but of what we're given I believe she is the most applicable for the job. It takes guts for a woman to run for president, and I give her props for that, but that is not why I am "rooting" for her.

Jamie...ashley....i think Richard Simmons should be our next president! he's what this country needs right now! because of the rise of obesity in american teens and adults and we can not have our country become a place of overweight people. Simmon's running mate should be George Foreman b/c he takes the grease out of greasy foods and he is working toward a greater goal of decreasing the number of obese teens and adults. For sec. of state, we should have Kristy Alley, b/c he she is telling everyone to go to jenny craig and lose weight!

Here I go. Just stick with me and maybe you'll all learn something.

I'm embarrassed to share not only a high school, but a continent with most of you. Josh Brummet: go up to a black person and call them colored and call me if they don't kill you for it.

Watching television and seeing how some people are going to vote for Barak Obama ONLY because he's black or Hitlery Clinton just because IT'S a woman. This is, in essence, complete ignorance. Race and Gender do not make a human anything other than a human.

To defeat racism, we must all acknowledge that there should be no difference between race. If I said I was going to vote for Mitt Romney because he was white, that would be racist of me. By the way, Barak Obama is one of the most elequent speakers I've ever heard. Even though what spews from his mouth is 100% grade A Bull$h*t, he is a gentleman and an energetic human being.

A woman could be a great president. Hitlery will not be a good president because of her stances and policies, not because she's a woman. This election is a circus and people have completely disregarded voting records and consistent positions on big issues.

I haven't decided who I support for sure. It will be a republican, because Barak Obama has nearly no experience, Hitlery is full of crap, and John Edwards is a joke with his two Americas crap.

Please realize that we are guarenteed the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The PURSUIT of happines. The chance to succeed in America is paired with the chance to fail.

If anyone had the stones to read to the end of this schpeel, I encourage you all to get yourself educated and look past race, religion, and gender and look at the character of the person that will one day be leading the most powerful nation in the world.

No matter who is elected, I will support them as an American. So those of you that harvest your political views from Green Day and MTV, I feel sorry that you are all so gullible as to blindly follow the pretty colors I'll pray for you all that you survive the shock from the Bug Zapper.

So in conclusion, my fellow Americans, please don't be swayed by how someone talks or how they look. Look at them as the people they are and look at their positions on things that matter to you.

murphy...i like your hitlery..hahaha...but really, are you saying that because she's hilary clinton and everyone hates her, are you saying b/c she's hardcore democrat and you are hardcore republican, or did you say that b/c of her views and opinions. personally why does it matter about how much experience a person has...experience doesn't always make a good president (look at bush...he's had experience and he's far from a great and good president) a great man (or woman) makes a great leader. a democrat is really what our country needs right now...i may not fully agree with what clinton and obama believe in and support but they support what i support in...our country is about to go into a recession, gas prices are high, our men and women are getting killed for a no reason other than the fact that we thought iraq had wmds (which they didn't...so we just invaded their country, took away their governemnt and look what's happened now??? terrorsits everywhere and all that jazz. if the people didn't like hussein, they could have gotten rid of him not us take him out), and what will happen if we get another repulican president? we'll be iraq forever!!!! we need someone who isn't afraid so say, "hey my americans! we are withdrawing from iraq and sending our troops home!" and their is no repulican candiate that will do that. personally we shouldn't vote on party lines, we should vote on what they can do to make our country better? who cares if they support gay marriage or abortion, really they can't make any laws saying that gay marriage is leagal and stuff like that, we should vote for the man or woman who can make our country better again. you know what, maybe MTV and Greenday has seen the truth and everyone else is just to blind or stuck up in what they believe to see it if we get another repulican candiate we'll end up the same way we are now!

Anonymous said...

haha scary thing is is that I can see what "Anonymous" is saying when she said that Simmons, Foreman, and Alley should run for president....wow that's as f'd up as my paper mentioning Hilton being president. Besides, Simmons would be a better president than the current.

Green Day? Green Day isn't even popular anymore. And what does G.D. have to do with ANYTHING?! MTV? Well...I don't watch MTV so I really don't know what you're trying to get at here. Okay as you said Murphy,

"I'm embarrassed to share not only a high school, but a continent with most of you"

Well, I'm letting you know that you now fall into that category. Tell me oh powerful Murphy, who do YOU think should be the next president? I don't want any of your MTV crap or your dissing of people. I've done enough of that on here already.

Anonymous, of course Republicans have destroyed the world. But as if a democrat will fix it. Bush has done so much damage, not only to our country but to Iraq, that I doubt that even a democrat can fix it. Besides, there aren't any good democrats running.

And the Republicans HAVE done some good things. Abraham Lincoln was a Republican. Because of him, we had the Emancipation Proclamation and he freed the slaves. He also kept the US of A a united country. (Thank God for "Undercover Brother" and Jimmy Dog).

Besides, Democrats are a bunch of Jackasses. ^_^

I guess the world isn't the same as it once was--when all of the canidates (Republican, Democrat, Independent..whatever) were actually worthy of the title of President.

Yes, when i read what joel wrote i agree with his reasoning about clinton, if she cries for no reason then imagine what would happen if she was faced with a real problem, we as americans dont want a presedent that cant do anything, or mental breakdowns... those just are not the car. of a presedent.

Anonymous said...

i think that we should not have a girl president. She cried in NH. She will proably pull are soldiers from Iraq. That would not be good, because they would start the war over here and invade are country. We should have a guy and I would really like it if we had a black president. He would know how to hadel the hard stuff and would not cry. That is my thought on the presidency.

Anonymous said...

To tell you the truth I don't think Hillary deserves to be the President because of all the wrongful things she has done, and besides she has already been the president once when her husband was president, because most of his decisions went through her first. If she didn't like it he didn't do it. She is right when she said that we need a good strong president to clean up after the big mess Bush is leaving behind.

Anonymous said...

I think that they would be ready for an African American and a woman but I am not so sure they could handle both in one candidate. although black women like Condolesa Rice (spelling i kno) and Oprah would get very much support, there is still an older mindset in the nation that is not quite ready!

Anonymous said...

I would probably vote for Hillary Clinton because Obama thinks he's too good to pledge allegiance or care about the national anthem. There's a video on youtube that's about a minute long showing all of the candidates on stage holding their hand on their heart while listening to the national anthem, but Obama is just standing there like he's too good for it. I don't want a president who tries to stand above everyone else like rebel. No thanks.

Anonymous said...

I think the Democratic and Republican parties should be elminated because that's most of the problem. Murphy since you think we're all stupid, you should just go live in Iraq; do us all a favor.

Anonymous said...

". She will proably pull are soldiers from Iraq. "

What's the problem with that? They don't belong over there in the first place...

"and besides she has already been the president once when her husband was president, because most of his decisions went through her first"

Um, no deary, she has never been president. She has been the 1st lady and a senator, but never the president.

"Murphy since you think we're all stupid, you should just go live in Iraq; do us all a favor."

Though I may have chewed him out, I'll have to disagree. He never said we were stupid, he just said that we're to quick to go with what somebody famous or well-known/liked (or in this case a TV station/band) says. Read before you just write down stuff (haha sounds like me ...in a really scary way) =)

Okay, so I was really bored after reading "The Most Dangerous Game", so I thought I would dig up that video of Obama 'disrespecting' our flag, what our nation stands for.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=N8QCkgg5Kjo

Just copy and paste that into your browser bar, enjoy!

It has also come to my attention that Obama is a Muslim, but yet a Christian at the same time. Hypothetically, he's trying to get both the Muslim's and Christian's attention with his religion in my opinion.

Agreeing with Ashley here, pulling our soldiers from Iraq is a good idea because I think they're being used to get the oil goodies (Hey why don't we find a president supporting a better method to fuel?).

I hate to say it, but stereotypes about race colors are formed from a wide area of people acting with a generally bad behavior.

Ashley I think you would make a good president because you know what you're talking about unlike a lot of people here that need to check their grammar and spelling.

And to answer Mrs. Hansen's "What characteristics of a leader makes he/she good?" I would have to say that a leader should always set good examples for the country, I know you can't always do this, but simple things like putting your hand on your heart during the national anthem is a good example.

Anonymous said...

I disagree I belive that He was not disrespecting our flag but rather expressing his religious freedom and what is more american than that i believe it is verry close minded of you to not like a person because he chooses not to swear his alegance on something he does not believe in he is not disrespecting our flag or our country he is disagreeing with your religion and there is nothing wrong with that remember we came to america so we could be free to believe what we want and make our own decisions

Anonymous said...

Just because obama is a muslum, and dosnt pledge to the flag doesnt mean he is a bad guy....have you ever noticed that some of our own americans dont pledge to the flag, and just because he is muslam and christian doesnt mean he couldnt make a good prez..down with clinton...

Anonymous said...

"Ashley I think you would make a good president because you know what you're talking about unlike a lot of people here that need to check their grammar and spelling."

=)

So I'd make a good president because I can type correctly?

"....candidates on stage holding their hand on their heart while listening to the national anthem, but Obama is just standing there like he's too good for it"

There are some people, even here, that don't put their hand over their heart, but it doesn't mean they're too good to sing it.

Hmm....Maybe John Galt or Edward Cullen should just become president (Galt would be a great president!!)!

Anonymous said...

Yeah, but think about all those children seeing Obama just standing there like a fool, they might think, "Hey, well if the president isn't doing that then neither should I!" What if he said, "I don't have to pay my taxes because my religion is so and so." Then everyone would quit paying their taxes. Wow.

Anonymous said...

aaron...its not bad if kids dont say the plege ...specialy if they r athiest...i cant spell...and well he isnt going to stop paying taxes...your just being rediculous now so what if kids stop saying it cuz he doesnt? it doesnt mean anything anymore anyway when u say it evryday what r u realy thinking about when your saying it? exactly i wonder whats for lunch today or oo look somehting shiny...and if u want it to mean something to thoes who dont believe in god dont say one nation under god or in god we trust or something cuz what does that mean to an athiest? absolutly nothing..as an athiest i know that is what it means to me

Okay! This is the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE! We are showing our support to our FLAG and COUNTRY! If he doesn't believe in GOD (which he does b/c he does say he is a CHRISTIAN though some sources say he is a MUSLIM, they still believe in GOD). The least he could do is show some RESPECT to our FLAG. Our FLAG represents our FREEDOM and LIBERTIES that we have as AMERICAN citizens. If he is too GOOD to SAY the PLEDGE, then maybe he does NOT deserve my VOTE in this next ELECTION! Also if they are atheist, they can take out the GOD part....come on! This is the guy running for president and I would not like a GODLESS man running!!!!

Anonymous said...

Aaron, it's not as simple as that. How to put this in simple terms...hmm (this is probably the most thinking I had to do since that Geometry test today..yikes). OK have you ever heard of a little book called "The Golden Compass"? It was written by Philip Pullman, 100% Atheist. And he said on national TV that he kills God in his book (he doesn't btw...not that that matters right now). Because of that, he has Christians in an uproar. If your faith is so little in your own religion that a simple fiction book and make you go insane, maybe your faith isn't strong enough.

How does that have to do with Obama? Think of Obama as Pullman. There are too many Christians out there who hate Pullman. And since you mentioned that Obama doesn't say the pledge and since he is a Mustian (my new word) and doesn't believe in God, I doubt he can change the way people are going to see him.

=( This isn't even clear to me...I know what I want to say, but I'm not even remotely close yet...hmm. Let's see ...once more.... That's like Christians saying that Obama is a bad man because he refuses to say the pledge and since he's such a huge influence, it might change the way our generation and the generation under us think. That's what they did to Pullman. They were so sure that his book would make children want to convert to Atheism (which is where Kyle comes in). Which is a load of crap in my book.

Kyle. I didn't understand ONE word that you typed....and if you don't mind, could you at least try and capitalize God in here? It's aggravating. He's a person, just like you and me...and everyone else on here.

I'll rant some more tomorrow =)

Well I truly think that Obama would do some good for our country. He is the youngest runner in the race and will have more than likely have a easier time gaining votes from the younger gengeration than some of the other candidates might. He also is a very diverse person and I believe that our country wants some kind of a change. Even if he is a Muslim I don't think that that should affect things. Our country is accepting the Spanish and Mexicans and I believe that they will accept him too. I honestly believe that if we bring a little bit of diversity into power in our country it will cause unity. Just think about it. We give everyone a change and be the country that we are.

Why does age matter? And as a matter of fact, according to CNN, Ron Paul has most of the young population's votes.

" Our country is accepting the Spanish and Mexicans and I believe that they will accept him too. "

" think that this country is ready for another president because this one is mental. i wouldnt really care if it was a obama or not i just know we need a president to lower prices of gas"

It's not as simple as that. Just because you get a new president doesn't mean it's going to change the price of gas. We have to decision in that making--it's all up to the Middle Eastern countries we buy our gas from. But if we start drilling in Alaska, which I highly believe we should, we could lower the price of gas by at least a couple of dollars per gallon.

"I dont believe in lady presidents, they over react."

God, can't get more sexist than that! Read what I previously said about females/males.

I think that we are either going to have the first woman president or the first African American President. It is a popular idea and most likely people from any party will look in upon it and vote for one or the other. It will be crazy when the Democrats finally choose their nominee. Some people that are still rascist will not vote for Obama. He will struggle a little bit more than Hillary in the upcoming election. When Obama started running he walked around and asked people at random if they would rather vote for a African-American or a women and most of them said a African-American. Including some women who were really strong in women's rights agreed that a black man would win. It is amazing what people would believe. If they had loyalty to the United States and they could help with all the problems that we have for trade deficit and world debt. Also if they do not do what is right and what they promised they do, what is the point. A question, I know it is on some peoples minds, why would Hillary forgive her husband for cheating on her? She should have been furious. We should all question why she forgave Bill. It is an outrage I tell you. And like Murphy said, the Democrats con't pull themselves together. And I can't like the choices of the President the Republicans have lately. So, shouldn't the indepent or another small party do a lot better than the main ones we have right now. As of now last race we had, if I could have voted I would have voted for Nadar. He was a heck of a lot better candidate than all the other candidates we had including the bull crap president we have had the last eight years. So when we have a better candidate then the ones we have now, that is the person that I will be supporting.

Wow...I love how this blog turned into a controversy of who can yell at the others more rather than telling who you'd vote for and why; it's like a battle of who has the most perseverance of checking Mrs. Hansen's blog. :] It's kind of humorous.

Ashley, you're extremely blunt and forward with your opinions and I find that quite honorable as most people just kinda keep quiet.

As you see, most of the boys in this are voting for a male just simply because Clinton "cried" and is a woman. Okay honestly, if something "big" were to happen and Clinton became president and she cried, what's the difference between that or Bush right now just kinda standing there looking like the dufus he is? Umm...not a lot...

I really don't think any of these candidates are what America needs right now - anyone want to vote for Britney Spears? She's getting more attention than the election candidates...that tells you something about American society...(I'm kidding about Spears by the way.)

Aaron, I love how you included Obama and the national anthem. I once thought of adding that into one of my previous paragraphs, but didn't to prevent argument, but since you said it. I agree with you. We live in America and reguardless of freedom of religion, etc, etc, etc...putting your hand over your heart and pledging allegiance to the flag are the two most important duties of Americans. (Yes James, I said duties.) Whoever it was that said, "well there's other Americans that don't do it." That's completely fine...they're not running for President of the United States. But to be the US president, I think you should be setting an acceptable example by showing respect to your country - especially being the leader. And I also agree with Aaron on this, if younger students/children see their 'possible president' standing up and not respecting the flag or reciting the pledge of allegiance, isn't that just incentive to not do it? If I were to have saw that when I was younger, I guarantee I wouldn't be doing it today...anyway...all in all, I agree with Blaise. He put it quite nicely. Who cares as long as Bush is gone and gas prices lower...haha...

Though Bill may have been unfaithful, she still loves him.

"(Yes James, I said duties.)"

Oh God what did he do now?

Thank you for the lovely comment Jamie, and, lmao, this has been a yelling contest that I think I won =)

Fat chance there.

"t's like a battle of who has the most perseverance of checking Mrs. Hansen's blog. :]"

I only come on here because I have nothing better to do with my life. Hey, I live in Frankfort! What can I say?

Ok...I'd like to start by saying that Hillary Clinton is a f*@#ing idiot! (Excuse the French) I completely agree with the media in saying that Bill is harming that helping her campaign. Since I'm a republican, I'm naturally going to be against Hillary, but seriously she is retarded. She says she is going to do something but with does not back what she says by her action!

Go Mitt Romney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They need to pull themselves together and maybe the Republicans and the Democrats should work together more. Than maybe they can do a heck of a lot better. George Washington suggested that we shouldn't have political parties. Maybe if we had listened we wouldn't need this conversation about how bad some presidents are because most of us would actually agree on some issues. If we stayed together as a country other than having a political party fights and it might end up as another civil war. Not the best course of action that this country would have. That would just start a war with nukes and stuff and a giant mess of this country would form of blood gore and we would need to make sure that we should survive. I need to think about my priorities just as everybody else should. That is all I can say for this subject or anything else doing for politics.
