People, acceptance and differences

I thought that because the election was so near, I would find a WORDLE of the Declaration of Independence just to see what words popped up. I think it nice that "people" is so large. Sometimes people forget that America was created "by the people, for the people" - all people, regardless of race, religion, beliefs or appearance. I find the intolerance of differences in this school to be so overwhelming that I spend much of instructional time stopping the harassment and teasing. Why is it so difficult to accept people who are "different" than we are? And if we can't accept them, why do some have to be cruel to those who are different?

I think it really depends on your background, your environment, and your life in general. Redfield, for example, has a very small Hispanic population, so when they come here we automatically consider them "inferiors." && I should know, cos I must admit that I am one. If you live somewhere where there is a DOMINANT race or something, anything else would be tagged WRONG. And there's so much racism in the world as of right now that this whole thing isn't very surprising.

*Sigh*...I'm not really in the mood to "discuss" anything right now. I think maybe we should all be more like the Revolutionaries and get smarter! And don't eat as much and get -6 hours of sleep a night and wear powdered wigs AND wear superTIGHT tights :) Bahaha

I think it is hard for teenager, speaking from my view, that we are so mean to others that are different then us to accept them becuase we follow what are friends are doing. If your best friend is making fun of someone who is different then you feel oblicated as there friend to follow what they do, or they will not want you as a friend. I believe that the people we can't accept we are cruel to them because of how we were raised. Alot of our family life, and beliefs come out when we are in "public eyes" The world would be better if everyone could accept everyone but I guess it takes people who relize it is wrong and start to change it then maybe others will follow....maybe...someday.
