I read this
interesting article and found the topic fascinating and one that I had really not thought of before. How can students who are know to cheat in school (for whatever the reason) be trusted to be honest and make ethical choices when they finish school?

Sad...I honestly don't know how students can think cheating in school is acceptable. At all. And sure, I've cheated in school, but is it right? NO. I feel guilty all the time, which could be the exact reason why I haven't done so in awhile. And is it really any of our business? I mean, once a student is done and graduated...is it anybody's place to really worry? I mean, you can say that you've done the best that you could, but once a cheater, always a cheater.
I couldn't believe when I read that some kids "cheat to succeed." That is so dumb because if you cheat you won't get anywhere. When you cheat you don't learn anything. Cheating is wrong and most people feel guilty after they cheat.
Whatever, happened to getting grades the honest way by studying.
Some kids think they have to cheat so they can get a good grade so their parents will be proud of them. Their parents want what's best for them because they want their children to succeed.
really cheat to succeed its not cool ask for help from teachers or other students dont just ask for the andwer ask how to get the anser so that you can do the asignment during the test.
I am with Ashley. I cant believe people can even believe tat cheating is acceptible. it is not acceptable, how does it help you succeed later in life. all cheating does is help you learn how to copy and not learn.when you cheat there is no room for imporvement because it isnt even your work in the first place.
Cheating is a tough subject. I believe that if teachers give out worksheets or multiple choice questions, and they are all in the same form as other student's worksheets/multiple choice questions, the teachers are basically giving the students permission to cheat. I find this especially true in our school. One student, that has good grades, will get it done and let other students take advantage of the completed homework. Most can won't admit to it, but have cheated. This is going to sound very unethical but, if used in moderation, cheating is neccesary.

i think cheating isnt really that big of a deal...yea its definately not the right thing to do but everyone does it i cant think of one kid in my whole grade that hasnt ever cheated b4. when it comes to the real world the kids who need to cheat to pass school are obviously the ones that are not going to be in the office making critical desisons that effect millions of people they are going to be the ones out there doing the manual labor.
