Stress

Stress is affecting everyone right now it seems. I know that I am under tremendous stress to finish projects and complete assignments and correcting. I started the school year behind and can't quite catch up. So what are some healthy ways to deal with the stress that is building in some of us? If you aren't suffering from stress, how do you do it?

Stress I would think has to effect just about EVERYONE. If you haven't been stressed before call me up! I would love to know what you do differently. I get stressed because of all the reasons homework, sports, wanting my own free time, work at home, work, and anything in between! Healthy ways to deal with stress would have to be find something in your life that helps you just cool off and relax. For me it is the last hour to half hour before I go to bed and just sit in my comfy bed and just read. Reading takes me away, away from allll my troubles that I don't always necessaraly want to face and deal with. Then getting to just go to sleep when I finally get so tired I can't keep my eyes open. I would really love to know on how to keep the stress out of my life and what can help reduce it!

Stress can be a big part in everyone's life. This can be an especially big problem for kids who are in sports and school work. This is a reason that I take the winter off from sports so I can focus on my school work. When I am feeling stressed, it is usually from worrying about a school project due. I can deal with this stress by going to a relaxing place and figuring out what I need to get done. Sometimes, on a weekend, just hanging out with friends and having fun can cause a majority of stress to go away. I would love to live in a world where there was no stress. I don't know anyone who would disagree!

It seems that as soon as school resumes after Thanksgiving break, all the teachers realize that we only have a little bit of school left before the end of the semester and load twice as much homework on us as usual. I for one noticed that most of my teachers (most but not all) assigned twice as much as usual. It seemed like they let us slack off a little bit until the last month of the semester and then realized that we had a ton left to do! Until Christmas break comes I am stuck being fairly antisocial because between work and dance and three hours of homework every night on top of two semester projects, I just get so so stressed. One thing that I find that helps me is just sitting down on my bed. That's it. Just sitting and not thinking. It really helps me feel more relaxed than I did before. Also, on top of all the reading for school, I enjoy reading for fun, that way there is no commitment to finish the book by a certain date and I don't feel guilty about neglecting it for a few days because of lack of time.

I can honestly say that I dont feel stressed too often. Just about the only times i get stressed are the times when I have too much homework to cram into a small time frame. Then again, I'm not in any after school sports or anything so thats probably why the pressure doesnt hit me so hard. Sometimes I end up feeling stressed for no reason. Even when I have nothing going on I still get a little bit anxious when there's nothing to be anxious about. I absolutely CANNOT stand that feeling when it's like you forgot something, but you cant remember...what you... forgot(?). Another thing that stresses me out is the Europe trip. i plan on going, but i need to find a job. i keep procrastinating on getting an application. Even though now I dont really have anything going on, I know that once I get a job my social life will just explode. Then again, isn't that just usually how things work out?

Stress is something that I think everyone deals with. When an overload of stress happens to me, I try to relax by creating a "To Do" list, and that seems to help. When I cross things to do off of my list, it makes me feel better because I feel like I am making progress. Also, if I can find a book that I can get lost in, that usually helps me relax and go to another place where no problems exist. During this time of year, stress seems to be like a rain cloud that never goes away. I try my best to not let stress affect my mood and the way I act, but as a teenager who is in their freshman year of high school, it sometimes brings out the worst in me.

I get stressed during school when all the teachers start to pile on the home work. When all the projects and papers are to be done. They let up on us for a bit bet like Maggie said after thanksgiving they like to pile on the home work and has to be done by Christmas break. It’s really hard to get everything done. Something that really helps me is to go and sit in my room shut the door and turn on the music and turn the lights of and lay down and listen and relaxes and don’t think about any thing.

Stress is definitely effecting pretty much everybody in the school, students and teachers alike. There are SOO many heatlhy ways to manage stress. A person can do yoga, which is something I have done and personally don't think it helps much. They can listen to music, watch TV, etc. The best, most healthful way to manage stress? Get out and play. When you get out and do something, your body releases pent-up energy caused by stress. I feel this method is the best and most healthful.

O stress seems to be the word of junior year. I have never been under as much stress as I have this year. So word of advice to under classman DON'T PROCRASTINATE!! I deal with my stress by not letting myself stay up past 11 doing homework, and by spending time with my awesome friends!! I know in the end my project or chemistry notebook will get done one way or another.

Stress. If you were to look it up in the dictionary, it would mean junior year. I word to the wise underclassmen, don't take all the honor classes. You will know exactly what stress is. The late nights. Having multiple papers and worksheets and portfolios due all on the same day. The list goes on and on! My year has been nothing but stress, and I can't wait for it to end.

Stress is the number one thing that people get when it is the end of a quater of school year. I get stressed because of all the things that needs to be done in the little amount of time that I have. It is interesting to see people try to do everything at once. It is best to have a great time mangering skills then you would not be so stressed when you have to think of all the things that needs to be done. I end up doing everything at once because I have trouble making time because I have a job which is not easy to do when I have homework. Even if I did not have a job I would still be stress I believe because there is a lot to do in order to pass a class.
