I think that it mainly has to do with the environment that kids today grow up in. I do also believe that it somewhat has to do with genetics. I think that kids with a steady and stable environment are more likely to take on more knowledge. If kids are not surrounded with intelligent and open minded people, then they are more than likely to not have an interest in learning and figuring things out. When kids are challenged and open for more opportunities, then they will have more of a drive to learn and obtain more knowledge. I do think that genetics somewhat have their part in being “smart” or not, but I don’t know how some people whose parents may not have been the sharpest tool in the shed could be such a genius. A mystery I have not figured out yet.
There are different kids of 'smart', intelligence is something people are born with, you cannot learn intelligence, intelligence is the ability to grasp concepts and apply and use ideas. However, knowledge is something people are not born with, knowledge comes from experience, or an education.
Usually when people say others are 'intelligent' they misconstrue the actual meaning of the word, and they often mean that people have a lot of knowledge.
I think that some people are born with the ability to learn more than others. Some things come easier for people that others. Why would knowledge not apply? It could also be in the environment in which the child lives. If they are never around things that can develop their brain and stimulate ideas and thinking, it may be difficult for them to learn more later. Some people in my grade can get straight A's without studying for a single test or quiz. They just are able to figure it out. They have always been like that. I think they were born more able to learn and retain knowledge more than anyone else.
In my opinion both enviroment and genetics play a part in how smart you are. I have friends that have to try really hard in order to get a good grade, then I have friends that don't even have to study, and show up and get an A. I am one of those people that has to focus hard in order to comprehend what is giong on. I study for most of my tests, and sometimes that doesn't even get me the grade I want to get. Some people learn things better after doing or listening to the same speech over and over again. Also some people learn by actually doing the tasks rather than have someone tell them what is going on. In the end both plays a role in how smart you want to become.
What is smart? Everyone is smart in some fields. Some more than others. One's intelligence cannot always be seen by how they did on a test. Some do better in labs or hands on activities than others. It all depends on the subject. Intelligence has something to do with both genetics and environment. If your family talks like hillbillies, thanyou will most likely talk that way as well. If your parents were both intelligent, there are pretty good odds that you will be smart. It works both ways.
I feel that the environment in which you grow up in has a major role in if your brain develops quicker than others. If the students or children are not born into a family of intelligent people surrounding them, they might not grasp on to the interest in learning like others would. On the other hand, I feel that genetics have some part in learning or being "smart". There are multiple people that I have met who are naturally smart and with some more effort, they could be geniuses. Me for example, I am the type that has to work for my grades and not everything comes easy for me. The environment I was raised in forced me to have the drive to learn and have a high expectation. Therefore, either way, the excuse of I am not smart doesn’t work anymore. It is all about the motivation and drive to want to learn.
Yes, some people are born smart. Whether or not they go out and use their blessing is up to them. Some people who are incredible smart choose to do wrong and use their outstanding talent against the world instead of going out and being way more successful and helping the world on the "good" side! Although when you are born the environment on the kids who weren't blessed with such "genius" skills but still have the ability to learn and do what they want in life. It has a great influence on a child when their parents fill them up with all the knowledge possible and, as the child gets older, they build on it and retain just more and more.
Why do people think that they have to be smart. When people think that they are smart they just think that they are better than everyone else. They think that they are smart because they know enough info to pass a test that says that they are smart well good for them. Everyone has their own onpion. I think that no one smart, they just think that they are smart. I don't think that I am smart. I just know how to survive in the world and that is good enough for me. People judge others and they make fun of the ones that they think is not smart. So who really says who is smart or not, and what does being smart really mean?
