The Killing of Osama Bin Laden

Well, after 10 years, the US has finally managed to kill Osama. As an American, I am resigned to the fact that his death was necessary in order to exact vengeance for the 9-11 bombings and the killing of thousands of Americans then and in the last 10 years in the fight against Al Qaeda. The Christian in me finds the celebration and constant news footage a bit disturbing. After all, aren't Christians supposed to forgive and then let it go. He is dead and buried and the military is doing its job fighting the insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan. Why do we have to celebrate the death of a man that we should just forget? Wouldn't the constant news footage of Americans cheering Osama's death just stir up those who would retaliate his killing and cause them to take revenge on the Americans on foreign soil, or here on our soil? Why can't we just state that he is dead, drop the subject, and finally, finish the job in the Middle East and bring the troops home? What do you think?

I personaly never heard of this guy Osama Bin Laden before in my life. I would have never either but I have know because we Americans like to talk about things that we are not sure about to everyone. I really don't care about the countries, goverment, presdents, or any of the gossip that happens around the world. I keep myself out of everyone's business. I don't care about regilon or god or the devil. I don't care what people think about the killing of Osama Bin Lanen. I could of lived not knowing any thing about him or anything else in this messed up world and I would live just fine not knowing any of it. I think of myself not like others, because others have their nose in everything and must know everything that is going on, they must not have a life of their own. I would think it would have been just fine if we all could keep our own businees to ourselves and don't care about war. War is nothing that is good it is a waist of time, money and people. It is time for people to get a life.

I know as a Christian we probably should not be cheering because of the death of a man. Although this is the same man who helped make 911 happen, where we lost the lives of 3,000 innocent people! It is not right that we keep showing the celebration of his death a little bit would be fine, because this man did need to go down. However, the excessiveness of it all needs to stop! It is not helping the matter that they probably want to terrorize us more now. I just don’t know how we are ever going to be able to bring our troops home. I just wish we could stay in our own business and let the other countries have their little cat fights.

The Christian faith has always been one to celebrate death, though they are the ones who support the forgetfulness of death. Though, through their nature, they celebrate it. I think they should just stop pretending and say that death is a good thing. Beings that, that is what they seemingly show in the media and the personal beliefs of the christians that i know anyways. I don't think that it's right to celebrate his death, but it is a relief that he is indeed dead and can no longer assault the american way of life and destroy what we call home. For some it is an act of patriotism, but for me it's more of a sigh of relief for our country.

I really didn’t fallow a lot of Osama's actions. I’m glad the Navy Seals shot him. I’m happy that he is dead because is the reason that 911 happened and many US citizens died on that day. The death of Osama was a good thing because if he was still alive he would probably plan another attack.

Personally, I'm happy he is dead. Not because of who he is or what he believes, more for what he has done and the countless, innocent lives that he cut short for his selfish gains. Those reasons are the reason why Americans cannot simply drop the subject. He got what he deserved, and everyone knows he did. I'm sure within a month most will leave it alone, but for now we will revel in his death and hopefully begin bringing our troops home quickly. There is no other reason to stay in the Middle East. We accomplished what we went for; now bring our men and women back.

I am a Christian and sure it's quite disturbing to see all of the celebrations that have been held because of the killing of Osama Bin Laden. Although everything that that man has done to the US he sort of deserves to be dead because he caused the short lives of so many people. Honestly, what right did he have to do that I mean sure we might have made him mad, but he didn't have to go and crash planes into the World Trade Centers and cause all of these wars just because of that. It definitely is disturbing seeing some of the things that are out in the public, but I am glad that he is dead because now we don't have to worry too much. Although no matter what we still are going to have to worry about someone else following in his footsteps.
