Well, school is about to start and summer break feels like it has flown by. My summer was spent in Europe, camping, vacationing and sitting by the pool, with a little freezing thrown in. It definitely was not a normal SD summer. I did some reading and found a new author, C.J. Box, who writes about Yellowstone National Park through the eyes of Game Warden Joe Pickett, thanks to my daughter Talese. Overall my summer was pleasant. How did you spend yours?

Too start, my summer went very fast! We had baseball practice almost every day, and on the days we didn't have practice we had games. We also had open gyms and basketball camps throughout the summer. My evenings were spent either playing baseball, basketball, or lifting weights. Our baseball team won the region tournament and got 3rd at the state tournament in Garretson. During the 4th of July, we camped at West Bend and fished almost everyday. My summer was very busy, but was probably the most fun out of any summer i have had before.
The start of my summer was quite boring because I started off with Driver's Ed. Also I had track practice every day after I was done with Driver's Ed. Can you say boring much! Although I only had two practices basically I couldn't wait until I got to go to Rapid City for State Track 2009. I had been so excited for a week and couldn't believe that it actually happened until Saturday when I threw 35 feet one and a half inches. I was so excited and wanted my summer to slow down. After track was over with it was time to start my real summer sport which is softball. The Rockham Rebels is what we call ourselves and we are very good. We played no matter what the weather because we loved playing softball. At the end of the summer as softball season was coming to an end it happens that we were playing in the State Softball Tournament. We were all really excited because we wanted revenge on the GCI Gems who had beaten us earlier in the year. It came down to a game with them to determine who would be playing in the state championship game. We all knew what we had to do so we beat them and played Faulkton in the championship game. After we creamed Faulkton we were finally the 2009 State Softball Champions in the 14 and under division. Even though we all thought we had to play another inning, but then everyone told us we were the champions!! That was how I spent my super exciting summer!!!
My summer went by too fast. I was busy with fundraising for the National FCCLA meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. We painted a deck for Patty Fagen, stained the deck at Dairy Queen, and sold fundraisers.I went in July. We went to The Grand Ole Opry, Nashville Shores Water Park, the Country Music Hall of Fame, Wildhorse Saloon, and Studio B. I had an amazing time meeting new people and seeing amazing places. I also worked a lot this summer. I work at Siegling's Super Valu. During the last part of my summer, I started cheerleading. We had UCA camp. Cheerleaders from Redfield, Doland, and Northwestern were invited. I also had a conditioning camp put on by Katie Jones. Next Summer cannot come any faster.
I don't know why i didn't comment on this earlier, but here it goes...My summer went by really fast! I attended HOBY in early June, and it was amazing! :D About a week or two later, I went to FCCLA peer education training, and I literally got back from that, ate supper at Terry's as a goodbye supper with my Grandma and mom and dad and left for Minneapolis to meet you guys at the hotel to leave for the airport to leave for Europe! I spent two weeks touring Europe, eating things i never thought i would have ever eaten, and learning about each individual country. Poland had a queen who was only twelve, wow Queen Hedwig! I got back from Europe, washed my clothes and repacked for a week out in the Black Hills at Placerville! One of my most favorite places to go ever! I got to spend a week with probably one of my most favorite people ever, Kylie, and enjoy the Black Hills! After that, I got back home, took a few days off and i worked almost every single day that i could, because i depleted my account while i was in Europe. If i wasn't working or gone, i spent barely any of my summer hanging out with my friends from here or going down to Huron and seeing my best friend Kylynn. Summers go by way too quickly!
