Top 100 Books

USA Today published its top 100 books for 2009. How many have your read and which were the best? I have read 18 on the list and, by far, To Kill A Mockingbird is the best.

I have read 11 of the books on the list, and I am a huge fan of the Time Travelor's Wife. I decided to read it after I saw the movie, and often times found it hard to put it down whether I was supposed to be doing homework or chores or babysitting. That, to me is what makes a book good or not- how easilly you can put it down. There have been books in the past that I have read that I couldn't wait to be taken away from because I just wasn't that into them, but this was one of those books that managed to keep my attention. I am also a huge fan of Nicolas Sparks, so his books were good too.

After looking through that list, I think that i only found one that I have read. To Kill a Mockingbird is the one I have read off of this list so I guess it would also be the best. I usually dont tend to read many new books and that is a lot of what list list is composed of.

I have read four of the books on the list, which were the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer.I absolutely loved the books and once I started reading them, despite how long they are, I couldn't stop. I think that I finished each of them within at least 3 days. I also like the New Moon and Twilight movies that have come out in the past year. I wish that there was a 5th Twilight Series book, but there isn't.

From this list, I have read The Twilight books and Where the Wild Things Are. I have the book, The Host, and The Secret, but have yet to read them. I would also like to read The Time Traveler's Wife, The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game, Dear John, and The Lovely Bones. I have seen most of these movies, and I heard the others are really good too. I read the first Twilight Book within 24 hours after getting it for Christmas. I would definitely say that the best was Breaking Dawn. I wish that Stephanie Meyer would finish her book Midnight Sun, but it leaked onto the internet so now she won’t finish it.

I have only read one book on the list, but I read part of To Kill a Mockingbird and saw the movie. When I looked at the list, I did see that many of the books are some that I plan to read in the near future.

So if you all are not reading what is on that list, what are you reading?
